Secure Streaming
PlanetStream allows you to restrict the type of access to your media
files for specific viewers. This can be used for confidential or copyrighted
files (to prevent recording and download) or more commonly for pay per
view services such as Live Sports Events or Internet TV Channels.
PlanetStream are also able to offer Secure Flash - the new token authentication system from Adobe. Both types of Secure Streaming require a £100 setup fee and then £50 per month for as long as the service is required. There are several ways in which secure streaming is already being utilised by all types of content owners.
Subscription services such as Internet TV and radio stations, training
companies and 24 hr feeds all use Secure Streaming to ensure their content
is only viewed by those who have paid to do so.
Pay-per-view services are also using Secure Streaming to ensure their content is not abused in any way, including On Demand TV, Radio Podcasts, Live Music and Sporting Events.
You don't have to charge your viewers, it can also be a safe and secure way to deliver confidential streams to the desired audience, including everything from Corporate AGMs to private weddings.

The following are the types of security we currently offer.
Prevent Recording - by building a secure token into your media file viewers
are prevented from ripping your content
IP Management - by creating a specific module viewers' access can be restricted
by location (e.g. country, offices)
Domain Restrictions - by restricting access to the streaming server by
URL, content cannot be plagiarised
Using any of these allows you to deliver your media to your audience safe in the knowledge that only your intended viewers get to experience your content.
