Live Event Streaming

Live streaming gives you the opportunity to broadcast an event in real time to your selected audience over the internet. This can range from a simple webcam broadcast to a major music or sporting event. This can be used for business broadcasts of presentations and conferences as well as educational and personal events such as online training and weddings.

The cost of your broadcast is dependent on four factors (i) The duration of the event; (ii) The quality required for the broadcast; (iii) The number of viewers; (iv) Who provides the production services (equipment & operators). If you can answer these questions then use our live streaming price calculator to get a quote.

Live Event Streaming Explained

The process for a live event is fairly constant, only differing in scale. When you have scheduled your broadcast front of house will unfold as it should and behind the scenes the following will take place...

  1. Images and/or sound are captured with the appropriate equipment (webcam, camcorder, mixing desks).
  2. The output from this recording equipment is fed into a PC using appropriate interface hardware.
  3. Encoding software on the PC turns that input into a format suitable for live streaming.
  4. The encoded output is then transmitted via the PC's internet connection to our streaming servers.
NB: the higher the speed of this internet connection, the higher the quality of the images we can broadcast.
  5. This single stream is received by our streaming servers and re-broadcast, in real time, to multiple viewers via a website link or we can provide you with the code to place it on your own website.
