Secure Streaming with DRM
If you wish to restrict access to your media files to specific
viewers or listeners then you need secure streaming. This might
be because the files are confidential or, more likely, because you
want viewers to pay for access to the files. Secure Streaming is
available for both on demand (pre-recorded) content and live events.
A process called Digital Rights Management (DRM) is used to protect
your content and ensure only authorised viewers and listeners have
access.
DRM is required for the secure delivery and use of media/digital
content on a computer, be it live or pre-recorded (on demand). It
allows content owners to:
- Digitally protect the opening and viewing of a piece of media
- Control who looks at the files
- Control how long users can view the files for
- Restrict re-distribution of material without their permission
- Protect videos based upon their own unique business rules
DRM also allows content owners to charge a fee for viewers to access
content, therefore providing them with revenue.
Payment systems for access to files can also be arranged, both
on subscription and pay-per-view basis. To discuss your requirements
