Bit rate is an expression of the quality of the broadcast and the higher the quality the greater the cost. The bit rates we offer are as follows:

32 Kbps - good quality for speech, moderate quality for music.

64 Kbps - good quality for speech and music, the most common quality for internet radio.

128 Kbps - excellent quality for audio content, moderate quality for video.

300 Kbps - good quality for video, the most common quality for internet TV.

800 Kbps - excellent video quality, some slower internet connections may not cope with this.

The other factor is the maximum number of listeners or viewers you want to enable to receive the broadcast at the same time. So for example if you select a limit of 50 a limit will be set at 50. If you have 50 people viewing or listening and a 51st tries to link in they will receive a message informing them all slots are taken and asking them to try again later. Once one or more of the 50 disconnect others can then take their place.

The standard options we offer are for 25, 50, 100, 200 and 500 concurrent viewers/listeners but we can handle major requirements needing many thousands of channels. These are quoted for on their merits so please call to discuss if you need anything different.
