FAQ: Disk Space Requirements

Disk space requirements for streaming files will depend on two factors:
  • The type of file that you are using (RealVideo, Windows Media, Flash, QuickTime)
  • The bit rate which the files are encoded at.


The table below shows how much disk space is typically required for a 5 minute clip in different formats and different bit rates.
