VIDEO & AUDIO ENCODING SERVICE

The media files you want to stream from your web site have first to be encoded in the correct format. This can be done by yourself, using FREE tools from Real or Microsoft, or you can give the task to us.

If you want the highest quality results or don't have the time or inclination to do your own encoding we can do it for you! We can take your "traditional" video recordings such as VHS tapes and convert them to encoded digital media such as RealVideo files for use as downloadable or streaming media. We can encode from: DV, Mini DV, Beta SP, S-VHS and Hi-8. Encoded video files will be returned on CD-ROM with your original media sources or installed on our streaming web servers for distribution on the web.

We encode into the following formats:

• Windows Media
• Real (Audio/Video)
• QuickTime
• Flash
• MP3
• MPEG/2/4

Typically we charge a £50 set up fee for encoding, irrespective of file size, and then £5 per minute of the encoded file (this is per format). E.g. a video file lasting 10 mins would cost £50 set up + £5 x 10 mins for a total of £100. A 20 minute video file would cost £150.
